This 6,300 seat Single A professional stadium was designed and constructed to meet PBA standards, and included eight private suites, team offices, locker rooms, ticket windows, and a souvenir shop. The five concession areas were designed to face play to enable food service without missing any baseball excitement. Picnic Deck. The addition of the Hardball Café, an outdoor concession facility with a tiered picnic deck and outdoor tables, and a secured playground, as well as improvements to the souvenir shop, encompassed these upgrades to the original design of Memorial Stadium.

Developed the team and manage both the professional team and the U.S. Steel Yard Stadium for the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the Northern League.

This project consisted of the design of a new $8 million 78,000 s.f. facility. This new facility includes a four-lane lap pool with a Fun Family Area that features sprinkling devices, a slide, and 0-depth entry. In addition to gymnasiums, aerobic rooms, elevated running track, and locker rooms, the new branch includes a Youth Area with foosball, air hockey, and pinball machines. The Children’s Area includes a tumbling room. A rock climbing wall and a Cafe space with views of most activities are also features of this southwest branch. Leased medical office space is also included in this complex which is dedicated to total fitness and wellness.

Design of a new private charter school totaling over 55,000 s.f. This school serves 1,700 children.

The design of this new three-story 40,000 s.f. facility houses the campus postal operations as well as safety and security operations for the University. The construction cost was $8.3 million.

This design was constructed and finished in 90 days and houses over 100 agents.

Design of a new $15.4 million middle school to house 1,000 six-eighth grade students. Master planning of the 80 acre site includes a 7,000 s.f. facility, lighted football field, running track, two baseball fields, and two soccer fields. The project totaled just $83/sf and was named by “American School and University” magazine as one of the five top middle school designs in the United States in 2001.

The projects included the addition and renovation of 4,000 s.f. to 13,500 s.f. of hospital space. Second floor expansion of 7,000 s.f. to double ICU capacity and add 11 new ICU beds. Two future floors will be in-patient beds. Another addition to the front of the hospital adds 15,000 s.f. per floor for a total of 45,000 s.f. with another 9,000 s.f. of renovation to the existing facility. The basement area is designed as shell space to accommodate future needs. The first floor includes and education/seminar center, board room, meeting rooms, admitting, waiting, surgical pre-admission testing, chapel, concierge, gift shop and lab. The second floor includes 8 new operating rooms with two of those dedicated to orthopaedics. Twelve new recovery rooms and 28 new pre-post operative areas will be added. This expansion also will include central decontamination/sterile processing, two endoscopy rooms, one minor procedure room, expansion of the cardiovascular lab, and support spaces. The estimated cost for these additions and renovations is $36 million.

Cesar Chavez is a newer charter school in Detroit. It is a 35,000 square foot facility and houses over a hundred students.

The new concept for this facility totals 68,800 s.f. and includes the Student Union with a six lane bowling alley, “Grab-N-Go” café, and meeting areas. Food service for the campus is housed in this complex with a new kitchen and dining area. The library and bookstore were relocated to this complex as well. A new Conference Center with student government offices, the business office, and tutoring offices and a 180-seat auditorium are also housed within this complex. The construction cost was $10.8 million.

A new 143,000 s.f. facility includes four floors of detention housing plus a basement. The design allows for 2 additional floors above the court portion to accommodate six future felony court rooms and it allows for two additional jail housing floors. The plan provides 248 beds of jail housing, 56 beds for the County lock-up, and twelve bull pens with a capacity of approximately 95, totaling a capacity of 399 prisoners. The potential to add another 73 beds to the fourth floor would bring the capacity to 472 within the constructed facility. Superior Court will be accommodated with two misdemeanor court rooms and associated judges’ chambers, court clerk, reporter, and jury deliberation rooms. A new kitchen will replace the existing jail kitchen and provide capability to provide approximately 3,300 meals per day. A first floor connection to the Allen County Jail, expanded laundry facilities, and property storage were also planned. This project totals $19.7 million construction cost

Design of a private charter school consisting of six class room buildings totaling 63,000 s.f. located in the suburbs of Chicago. When completed, the school will have over 1,000 students.

This project consisted of the design of a new state-of-the-art 155,000 s.f. hospital. The facility was a total of $40 million, with a $27.3 million construction cost. Located on 25 acres, the new hospital meets today’s standards for health care and provides better space utilization and organization to meet today’s out-patient driven services.
